Im a guy with medium length long hair and my employer says I may have to cut it for the job - any guy ever face this issue - what did you do - my job is at the airport as a ticket agent - anyone with similar issues - should I do it or no

well...I work at Publix and our hair cant touch our eyebrows or collars. I like the dresscode. It gives everyone a clean cut look

I cut my hair for a job after high school. It sucks and one would think that in today's society, the days of that type of discrimination would be over. However, small towns and rural areas still suffer from this closed mindedness.

As far as what you should do... you can always grow it back out one day. Just make sure you are sure the job is worth it, or the money is worth it. You have to live with the decision . I still wish sometimes that I had my long hair.

If your employer wants you to cut your hair that's what you do. If you don't want to, then don't take the job.
